5000mg CBD tincture

CBD-500mg

CBD (cannabidiol) oil is a natural, active ingredient from the hemp plant and it contains no psychoactive effects so it is safe for consumption in people of all ages, as well as animals. At CBD Botanical Therapy we have many products for sale including a broad spectrum 5000mg CBD tincture, our best value item. This product is all-natural and organic, and it doesn’t contain any additives such as caffeine, hormones, or sugars. CBD oil is a very effective product for treating many different medical conditions including aches and pain, inflammation, stress and anxiety, nausea, insomnia, PTSD, and eczema.

We highly recommend this tincture to anyone searching for CBD oil for therapeutic uses. There are many ways to consume or absorb CBD oil including pill formats, topicals such as creams or lotions, and edibles like gummies or drinks. However, using our tincture is the superior choice for the simple reason that the absorption rate of a CBD tincture is about 40% which is much higher than other options. In contrast, CBD edibles have an absorption rate of about 10%.

Tinctures are fantastic because they’re designed for maximum absorption if using a sublingual delivery method. To use the tincture properly you just apply your dosage to the space underneath your tongue and hold it there for about a minute or two before swallowing it. This is the preferable method of ingesting the tincture because it can be absorbed into your bloodstream right away, bypassing your body’s digestion process, and more of the medication will be utilized by your tissues as well. It also works much faster than traditional methods that engage the digestive system.

Our 5000mg CBD tincture is a highly concentrated, broad-spectrum formula derived from premium organic hemp seeds. It’s the ideal treatment for the relief of many health symptoms that have shown to be effectively reduced with a regular CBD oil regimen. With 5000mg per 1-ounce bottle, this concentration is optimal for managing the most persistent symptoms of your chronic medical issues.

CBD Tinctures and My Blood Pressure

CBD-Tinctures-and-My-Blood-Pressure

What do you know about white lab coat syndrome? If you’re like me, you might have a bad case of white lab coat syndrome when you go to the doctor. I exercise 5-6 days a week, take no medications, and my blood pressure is normally 110/70. Most of my life I was treated by family members who were doctors or surgeons so I’m not a fan of hospitals or other doctors. When I go to the hospital or a doctor’s office my blood pressure can increase to 130/90 simply because of nerves. This is where taking CBD on a regular basis helps out.

I half-jokingly tell the nurses the only people who like doctors or hospitals are couples having babies, people getting plastic surgery, and doctors making money. When I’m taking CBD it helps decrease inflammation in my blood vessels while also helping to dilate them. CBD also helps my brain release serotonin and dopamine relaxing me and keeping me calm. Less inflammation, dilated blood vessels, and being a bit more relaxed is how our CBD helps me maintain my lower blood pressure when visiting the doctor.

The trick is consistently ingesting enough CBD tinctures for it to be effective. And to be able to afford it on a monthly basis. If our potent CBD can help me lower my blood pressure and potentially ward off heart attacks, strokes, heart palpitations, fatigue, or dementia because I have better blood flow, imagine how it might help you.  Like the motivational speaker Zig Ziglar used to say, “People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing. That’s why we recommend it daily.” The same is true for CBD, eating healthy, vitamins, or exercise. These good habits are the compound interest for improved health.

CBD Tinctures and Pain: Three ways CBD can help with pain

CBD-Tinctures-and-Pain
  • High levels of prostaglandins are produced in response to injury or infection and cause inflammation which is associated with the symptoms of redness, swelling, pain and fever. This is part of the body’s healing process. CBD helps reduce pain by helping control the production of excess prostaglandins helping to lessen pain, inflammation and swelling.
  • TRPV1 receptors are found mainly in the pain neurons of the peripheral nervous system. But they have also been found in many other tissues including the central nervous system. TRPV1 is involved in the transmission and modulation of pain (nociception), as well as the combination of a variety of painful stimuli. CBD helps with pain by inhibiting TRPV-1 nerve signaling helping to minimize the transmission of pain signals by the nerves.
  • CBD helps reduce pain because it can dilate blood vessels increasing blood flow while also increasing endorphin production such as serotonin and dopamine. This can reduce the amount of prostaglandins produced and therefore the amounts of pain an individual experiences.

CBD helps with pain and a long list of other issues and ailments.  And it works in the body through 25 or more different methods. The most important thing to understand and remember is whatever your reason is for using CBD, you need a potent product because of CBD’s low absorption rate. And you need to take or use it on a regular basis. And I’m sorry but potent products don’t include edibles like gummies. If you get relief from them that’s great. But what happens when or if you need more CBD? Or you can’t afford it? CBD edibles’ adsorption rate is about 10%. CBD sublingual tinctures’ adsorption rate is about 40%. Four times that of edibles. This is why we don’t make or recommend CBD gummies. Sublingual tinctures, at this stage of CBD product development, are still the best way to absorb sufficient doses of CBD at reasonable prices.

Does CBN (Cannabinol) Make You Sleepy?

Does-CBN-Cannabinol-Make-You-Sleepy

Does CBN make you sleepy? Search the internet for CBN, also called Cannabinol, and most companies will mention sleep. Remember CBD is cannabidiol not cannabinol. One of the better known “minor” cannabinoids, CBN is created from the breakdown of THC which occurs as cannabis ages. CBN is widely marketed as a sleep aid that promotes sedation. However, this assertion is not supported by the scientific literature. A point made explicit in an August 2021 review in Cannabis and Cannabinoid Research during eight higher-quality studies published between 1945 and 2021. “There is insufficient published evidence to support sleep-related claims,” writes Jamie Corroon of San Diego’s Center for Medical Cannabis Education. “Randomized controlled trials are needed to substantiate claims made by manufacturers of cannabis products containing CBN. Individuals seeking cannabis-derived sleep aids should be skeptical of CBN manufacturers’ claims of sleep-promoting effects.”

While this finding doesn’t definitively prove CBN is useless as a sleep aid, it likely points to one of two possibilities: either any claim CBN is associated with better sleep is totally bogus, or any benefit is actually a byproduct of other characteristics of the CBN cannabis such as THC content, different terpene profiles, the presence of flavonoids, how the CBN is ingested, different CBN potencies, other cannabinoids present (CBD, CBDA, THC, THCA, etc.) or a combination of all these factors.

CBN making you sleepy is inaccurate information that hasn’t been substantiated by controlled clinical scientific studies is a topic we’ve mentioned in prior newsletters and blogs. Be aware of the real benefits CBD, CBN or other cannabinoids provide. Don’t be fooled by unethical marketing. CBN causing sleepiness is incorrect just as claims that CBD increases energy or benefits as a sexual aid are incorrect. It’s important to know the benefits of CBD. They include helping to decrease pain and inflammation when applied topically and ingested orally. Releasing dopamine and serotonin helping with stress, relaxation, anxiety, blood pressure, PTSD and ADD when taken orally. And helping with skin irritations when applied topically. And possibly helping with neurologic issues like spasticity or seizures when ingested in large enough doses. ~Steve

Does CBD Help Calm People Suffering from Anxiety

Does-CBD-Help-Calm-People-Suffering-from-Anxiety

Are you stressed and don’t know why? Nobody can quite put their finger on exactly why it is happening but anxiety-related disorders have seen a massive increase in the last few years. This phenomenon is a global one which has led to a burgeoning interest into the best anti-anxiety drugs and mindfulness meditation techniques.

Against this backdrop, it should come as no surprise that cannabidiol (CBD) is booming in the US, Canada, and globally. Since the 2018 Farm Bill legalized CBD in the US, an increasing number of people are also treating their anxiety with cannabidiol (CBD). Because CBD helps release serotonin and dopamine, it’s widely reported to be an effective remedy best used for reducing stress, anxiety and depression. CBD is now found in a growing number of ingestible and sublingual products.

While CBD is also commonly used by people to alleviate symptoms of inflammation, pain, and swelling associated with chronic conditions such as arthritis, osteoporosis, and fibromyalgia, recent surveys conducted here in the United States have revealed as many as 60 percent of people taking CBD do so as a means of managing their anxiety. Regardless if it ingested for pain, inflammation, stress or anxiety, the CBD product utilized should supply sufficient quantities of CBD (2000-5000 mg) at a reasonable price. The price of pure CBD as a raw material has dropped significantly in the last three to four years. If a CBD company is overcharging for weak CBD products (low potency) it might be time to search for another manufacturer.

What Is CBD?

CBD is one of 110 + different cannabinoids that occur naturally in the cannabis plant. Alongside tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), CBD is one of the most studied of these cannabinoids. Unlike THC, CBD does not lead to the “high” feeling reported by cannabis users after ingesting via inhalation or sub-lingually. It is widely thought not to possess any intoxicating properties.

While THC is known to increase anxiety in some cases, there is some evidence CBD in higher doses may do exactly the opposite. The theory is that CBD is capable of supporting the body’s endocannabinoid system, a recently discovered network of receptors and neurotransmitters thought to be contribute to regulating our anxiety responses to external stimuli. For this reason, CBD is fast gaining a reputation for among sufferers of anxiety-related conditions.

Does CBD Work for Anxiety?

Studies have shown that CBD may be effective in the treatment of anxiety. For generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), studies done on rodents have shown that animals who had been injected with CBD displayed fewer signs of anxiety when exposed to a stressor than those who had been given a placebo. More studies are needed on humans to determine effective doses for specific conditions.

Research into the effects of CBD on other forms of anxiety such as social anxiety disorder (SAD) has yielded some promising results. The same goes for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), with studies showing participants who were given CBD showing lower rates of reoccurrence to traumatic memories than control groups. This is because CBD has been shown to help the mind forget traumatic memories and minimize addictive behavior.

Does CBD Work for Insomnia?

Many patients have reported using CBD as a sleep aid with full spectrum being the most popular. They are convinced that it helps them to get a better night’s sleep. Studies seem to suggest that these people might be onto something. Due to the important role the endocannabinoid system plays in regulating circadian rhythms, CBD has been found to increase the ease at which a person is able to fall asleep, also helping them to stay asleep for longer periods of time. For this reason, the American Sleep Association recommends CBD as a treatment for anxiety.

Does CBD Work for Depression?

Psychologists today believe there is a fundamental link between depression and anxiety. Therefore, it follows logically that CBD should be an effective treatment for depression if we are to read into the studies which have linked it to anxiety reduction. More research needs to be carried out in this area but what we know so far is encouraging. In a landmark 2019 review, it was found that CBD is increasingly showing it may even be more effective than conventional antidepressants when it comes to building resilience against constant exposure to stressors in rats and mice.

CBD Isolate vs Full Spectrum?

There is no medical proof full spectrum CBD is better than CBD isolate (CBD only) especially when you consider the potencies of products. Does a potent 3,000 or 5,000 mg CBD isolate product work better than a 500 mg full spectrum CBD product with only trace amounts of a few other cannabinoids? Would it be better to have large amounts of CBD rather than overpaying for a weak CBD product simply because a manufacturer calls it full spectrum?  Since most full spectrum products have extremely small amounts of other cannabinoids, and there’s actually no medical definition for “full spectrum,”  it’s our opinion a potent CBD isolate product would be much more effective and affordable than a weak, overpriced full spectrum product against pain, inflammation, sleep, anxiety, and stress.  You’re paying for CBD and you should received CBD.

The Final Word

CBD is fast emerging as an interesting new treatment for anxiety, depression, and insomnia. While research into exactly how effective such a treatment might be is still in its infancy, sufferers of these conditions are voting with their wallets. They see CBD as safe, natural and with very few, if any, known side-effects.

Can Cannabis Slow Brain Aging

Can-Cannabis-Slow-Brain-Aging

Do you worry about dementia? Does a family member have Alzheimer’s? New studies are showing using cannabis may help slow aging in the brain. The stereotypical weed smoker is depicted as a slow dimwit with the inability to harbor productive thoughts for more than a few seconds. They’re motivated by their hedonistic tendencies and want to get “high” as much as possible.

In 2021, we know this is not true considering almost half of all US adults have tried cannabis at one point in time. While this harmful stereotype was used to deter people from smoking under the assumption that “cannabis negatively impacts the brain”, science is shedding new light on this topic.

Like this PBS Piece on whether cannabis reversed brain aging. The studies are currently being conducted on mice, meaning there is not a whole lot of human evidence to suggest cannabis helps slow down brain aging. But in mice, the results have been consistent.

One theory is that as we age, we significantly begin to produce fewer endocannabinoids. This affects our endocannabinoid system responsible for maintaining homeostasis in the body. The endocannabinoid system helps modulate mood, pain, appetite, anxiety, immune response and much more. Therefore, theoretically since many of our endocannabinoids are similar to the phytocannabinoids found in the cannabis plant, we could see how it could replenish the loss of endocannabinoid production caused by aging.

What did the mice tell us? The current evidence on this idea comes from the study of mice done by several researchers. There are several studies done in Israel, Germany, and in the US. One of the researchers Nicole Ashport explained how they tested the cognitive decline for mice within an established experiment;

“When we take young mice and we put them in a learning and memory maze, they will very quickly learn to find the escape. Our aged mice will also learn how to escape the maze but they just don’t learn as efficiently. Therefore, it might take a young mouse 16 attempts in the maze to master it. But it might take an older mouse 25. And so we can see the old mice can still learn. They just don’t learn as quickly.”

This allows researchers to observe how older mice take longer to process the information and commit it to memory. Theoretically because of inflammation associated with aging, however it could also be a lack of endocannabinoids reaching certain parts of the brain associated with memory.

However, when administering low doses of THC to the mice, Ashport observed something interesting: “When we treated old animals with a synthetic version of THC at low doses we would see a stimulation effect. They would move faster; they would move more. They had increases in their ability to be able to solve the mazes more efficiently. That is consistent with what had been reported by the other groups showing really low doses could lead to a beneficial effect.”

We are also seeing this anecdotally within humans. Many older patients have reported they “feel alive” and “have more energy” after taking cannabis. Could this also be simply because of a lack of endocannabinoids that led to heightened inflammation which is a cause or symptom of many different conditions.

One of the biggest hallmarks of aging we see that can contribute to frailty and other impairments in advanced age is increases in inflammation. Cannabis and many cannabinoids such at CBD and CBDA can reduce inflammation within the brain and throughout the rest of the body. Therefore, it’s likely that when we’re administering cannabinoids that are acting as anti-inflammatory signals, they are inherently improving the aging system by simply taking away the stressors of inflammation. – Nicole Ashport

Perhaps, we’re entering into a stage of societal life when “consuming cannabis” will become as essential as consuming vitamin supplements or using first aid. The fact of the matter is our endocannabinoid system plays a vital role in our health and well-being. The endocannabinoid system is said to be fully matured roughly by the time you’re 25-years old. Up until this point your body creates a significant amount of endocannabinoids. Once it’s fully mature, the endocannabinoid production drops significantly.

The best source for cannabinoids in nature is the cannabis plant. The whole plant provides a wide range of cannabinoids and terpenoids that interact with your internal cannabinoid receptors at a very efficient rate. The trick is finding a cannabis plant or cannabis supplement that contains the necessary AMOUNTS and RATIOS of the proper cannabinoids. If many of our old-age problems arise due to a lack of cannabinoids or an “endocannabinoid deficiency”, then using cannabis as a supplement makes sense.

We’ve been told repeatedly cannabis is bad for your brain. Except, now in 2021 we are finding it can be a helpful line of defense against mental decline as you age. Of course, this information is still in its infancy and as we continue to progress and move forward with global legalization, we’ll discover more accurately how cannabis (THC and CBD) interacts with our minds and bodies. In the meanwhile, the early evidence suggests cannabis could be a very effective medicine for any condition involving mental decline as we age including potentially dementia, Alzheimer’s, and other neurocognitive diseases.

CBD Isolate vs. CBD Full Spectrum

What-is-the-Difference-Between-Broad-and-Full-Spectrum-CBD-Featured

CBD is a new and growing industry. Many people would benefit from the use of CBD but industry profiteers, and their lack of integrity and sophistication, have made purchasing and using CBD products extremely confusing. But it’s not entirely the industry’s fault. The FDA and the government haven’t allowed or done much, if any, large scale testing of CBD and its impacts on specific illnesses or conditions.

This leaves people wondering what type of CBD to use and how much CBD to actually take for their condition. It also leaves them wondering if there’s any validity to the claim CBD Full Spectrum is better than CBD Isolate or CBD Broad Spectrum products.

Let me help define these terms.

  1. CBD Isolate is primarily CBD. It’s typically 97% CBD or higher when tested by an analytical lab. Remember, the lab tests the potency or purity of the CBD. It’s NOT THE AMOUNT of CBD being placed in products you’re purchasing.  It’s simply a test to determine how much CBD and other cannabinoids are in the CBD raw material being used in manufacturing. A typical lab result might look something like this:

CBD – 98%, CBDA – .15%, CBN – .08%, CBC – .07%

  • CBD Broad Spectrum is now being defined as CBD that contains other cannabinoids except THC. A typical lab result might look something like this:

CBD – 96%, CBDA – .24%, CBN – .18%, CBC – .11%

Not much different than CBD isolate.

  • CBD Full Spectrum is now being defined as CBD that contains other cannabinoids including THC. A typical lab result might look something like this:

CBD – 85%, CBDA – 1.19%, CBN – .08%, CBC – .20%, THC – .3%

Not much different than CBD isolate or CBD broad spectrum.

And full spectrum products typically contain less CBD than isolate or broad spectrum products.

So why all the fuss? Researches know when an individual uses a combination of cannabinoids they seem to offer better results. This is because there is a synergy or an entourage benefit.  Each of the different cannabinoids either helps the others, or one cannabinoid helps where another cannabinoid can’t. This sounds great but let me give you a few examples of how this reasoning begins to fall short.

  • Science has not given specific definitions to the terms broad spectrum or full spectrum. Therefore, any company can label their products as they see fit regardless of accuracy.
  • Science has not determined WHICH cannabinoids should be included for a product to be called broad or full spectrum.
  • Science has not determined the appropriate RATIOS of specific cannabinoids a CBD product should contain to be called broad spectrum or full spectrum.
  • There are about 113 different cannabinoids.  Which of these should be included, and in what ratios, to be considered broad spectrum or full spectrum? Science hasn’t determined this yet.
  • Which cannabinoids, their amounts, and their ratios should be taken for the specific illnesses or condition you want to treat? Science hasn’t determined this yet.
  • And finally does the product you’re using have ENOUGH of each of these cannabinoids (including CBD) to make an impact on your illness or condition?

The above factors generate this hypothesis: Would 5,000 mg of CBD isolate be better than 500 mg of CBD full spectrum? And based on the points above, our belief is yes for the following reasons:

  1. CBD is an effective compound but it’s not easily absorbed by the body. Therefore, you need large amounts of it in your product to receive the benefits.
  2. If you hoping for the entourage effect from a broad or full spectrum CBD, you’re certainly not going to receive any type of synergistic entourage benefits from TRACE amounts of other cannabinoids. You need enough of these other cannabinoids along with enough CBD to offer a benefit and impact.
  3. Companies now add ingredients like caffeine, melatonin, aspirin, curcumin, etc. in an effort to give you LESS CBD.  Like a coffee company that makes a pound of coffee that weighs 12 ounces. You want CBD not these other cheap fillers you could buy at Walmart.
  4. This also fools people into thinking CBD with melatonin (or aspirin, caffeine, etc.) makes the CBD or the melatonin work better. It doesn’t.  Again, corporate America creating gimmick marketing to take advantage of a new industry and consumer’s lack of knowledge.

A bar of gold can be 24 karats. It’s then diluted down to 14 karats so you don’t receive as much gold in the jewelry you buy. Same is true for CBD.  If you’re looking for the benefits of a CBD product you should be purchasing and using a CBD product that contains large amounts of CBD and you shouldn’t be overpaying. The wholesale price of CBD has come down significantly in the last 5 years.  Companies shouldn’t be charging you top dollar for weak CBD products. Don’t waste your money on low potency CBD products while missing out on the benefits of this amazing product.

CBD Consumer Product Info

CBD-Consumer-Product-Info-Featured

CBD sales took a backseat to other essential purchases when the COVID-19 pandemic grew more urgent during the past year. Even while in the backseat domestic, CBD sales grew 52% across channels in 2020 with total sales tipping just over $4 billion for the year. Projections for 2021 estimate growth of 55% potentially raising the sector’s take to almost $6.3 billion.

As for where 2020’s CBD sales occurred, the dispensary channel captured the lion’s share and ultimately accounted for roughly 33% of the category total. But with 25% of the year’s CBD sales coming from direct-to consumer sales, e-commerce wasn’t far behind. The convenience of direct-to-consumer CBD sales can’t be denied. Plus, there is no added cost for a medical cannabis card or the unnecessary mark-up of opportunistic dispensaries. But as with every consumer goods product, finding the highest quality at an affordable price can be a challenge.

Reasons for CBD Purchases

Research shows 33% of CBD consumers cited anxiety management as their key consumption
driver while 32% cited stress management. Pain relief drives 47% of CBD consumers to the category with a better night’s sleep motivating 39% more. These needs for “improved wellness” are present even without a global pandemic and give good reason to expect CBD’s continued growth as a wellness product or first-aid supplement.

Consumers’ Evolving CBD Needs

As the CBD category has diversified, so too has its typical shopper. And with that evolution, we’ve also seen an evolving set of needs among the consumer base. For instance, consumers who have been with the category for at least two years often gravitate toward products for “stress and anxiety relief” or “improved quality of life.”

Those who have entered the market within the past 3-6 months more often look for targeted
benefits from oral or topical treatments for relief of menopausal symptoms, post-workout recovery, pain and inflammation, and skin irritations or itching.

Wellness products – topical creams, balms, salves, etc. – as well as supplements, will be the
three biggest categories driving CBD sales in the coming years. Wellness alone is expected to contribute $2.9 billion to the growth of U.S. CBD sales by 2026.

Health and wellness consumers are looking for functional ingredients in all their lifestyle purchases. And the data shows consumers are willing to take advantage of CBD’s benefits in
over-the-counter products rather than in standard medicinal products.

CBD Edibles and Drinkables – Not a Trend to Join

Also driving sales are CBD edibles. With 75% of consumers who’ve tried CBD in the past six
months reporting to have chosen an edible. While edible CBD products such as gummies, chocolates, or water are very popular, they’re not as effective a delivery method as tinctures and can be cost-prohibitive. Despite this scientific data, the CBD food market has grown by 23%.

CBD-infused beverages are looking especially bright. Shelf-stable coffee sales were up 111% while shelf-stable waters and juices grew 66% and 44% respectively. Another interesting category on the rise, nut and seed butter, up 77%. While the trend is good for manufacturers it might not be the best for consumers’ wallets or results. The primary complaints from CBD users are high costs and low CBD potencies. If CBD potency can’t be delivered effectively through foods or beverages, consumers will quickly realize CBD’s best delivery methods currently are still potent tinctures and potent, properly formulated topicals.

Education Needed

Real CBD consumer education will prove especially important as sales spread into more mainstream venues. CBD has an incredible potential to help individuals based on its own
merits and chemical properties. Companies and executives must be willing to be honest with consumers about what CBD can and will do, offer quality products at reasonable prices, and
not turn this amazing new market into the next consumer products gimmick.

CBD and Autism – Who Uses It and Why?

CBD-and-Autism–Who-Uses-It-and-Why-Featured

In a survey sent out by Autism Parenting Magazine to more than 160,000 email subscribers around the world, 18.6% of respondents confirmed they use CBD for a child on the spectrum to help relieve a variety of autism symptoms. Breaking the data down further, 22.16% of USA-based caregivers use CBD versus 14.29% of UK caregivers.

A total of 72.4% of respondents identified themselves as autism parents, while the remaining participants were grandparents, full-time carers, teachers, therapists, doctors, or individuals on the spectrum.

The data revealed 76.3% of participants use CBD only, 13.7% use CBD/THC combination, while the remaining 10% use “Other” forms including Hemp, CBD/THC & Epidiolex (just CBD), and CBD with Terpenes, among others.

Reason-For-Using-CBD

When asked to identify the primary reason for using CBD with their child, 42.9% responded with anxiety relief, 36.9% stated challenging behavior, 5.1% said pain relief and inflammation, 8.1% said sleep and relaxation, 4.3% said seizures, while the remaining respondents identified “Other” reasons such as increasing speech and supporting potty training.

A large number of respondents use CBD for a teenager on the spectrum with 21.39% of CBD users confirming their child is aged 13 to 18.

When asked if they started using CBD during the COVID-19 pandemic, a whopping 31.3% said yes. Meanwhile, 16.6% have increased the amount of CBD they give their child since the pandemic began.

Another interesting find was that only 20.1% have adoctor’s  prescription for CBD usage. Despite this, 21.7% reported it was their doctor who recommended trying CBD. Meanwhile, 27.4% were recommended by a friend or family member and 23.6% were recommended by another autistic parent. The remaining respondents selected “Other” with many saying usages stemmed from their own research.

When asked if they would recommend CBD products to other parents on the spectrum, a huge majority of 82.9% said they would.

Preferred-CBD-Format

Oils (oral drops and topical sprays) were the preferred CBD format, with 60.8% of respondents opting to use these. Meanwhile, 21.5% use gummies and topicals, 7.5% use capsules or tablets, 5.1% use lotions or balms, and 1.9% use vape. The remaining respondents selected “Other” options including honey sticks and patches.

Responding to how often they use CBD products, 46.4% said “daily”, 28.6% replied “only occasionally”, 3.6% said “weekly” and the remaining participants gave “Other” responses including mentioning they no longer use CBD or do so infrequently.

It is clear from the survey data, as well as multiple other studies on CBD usage for children on the spectrum, that more and more parents are considering CBD products. Initial results showing the impact of CBD on autistic children are encouraging, with anxiety, challenging behaviors, and sleep issues all appearing to reduce for those that try these products.

Potent CBD Products – Oral and Topical CBD Dosing

Potent-CBD-Products–Oral-and-Topical-CBD-Dosing

Does everybody need a potent CBD product? Effective CBD dosing varies when it’s
ingested. People can determine their own dosing amounts to help with anxiety, sleep, nausea, or aches and pains. This means you might need a stronger product to reach the dose that offers you the necessary relief. Better to have potent CBD product and not need it, then to need a higher CBD dose and not be able to afford it.

CBD is not absorbed well by the body when eaten. It is absorbed much better sublingually. To get the same amount of CBD in a monthly 5,000 mg tincture, the price of a bottle of CBD gummies would be 2-3 times the tincture price. Or you would have to repurchase the gummies multiple times during the month. High prices and lower effectiveness are why we don’t sell CBD gummies. We’re here to help people, not cheat them.

When it comes to skin issues, the more CBD a topical product contains the better. Do you want a CBD itch relief product that takes away most of the itch or all of the itch? Do you want an eczema ease product that gets rid of 40% of your scales, scabs, and rash, or 95% of your scales, scabs, and rash? Do you want a CBD pain relief cream that helps with the pain or eliminates the pain? A potent CBD topical will help relieve issues much faster than a weaker one. Potent or concentrated CBD is what’s needed when dealing with the inflammation and itch of eczema, psoriasis, and even poison ivy.

Because CBD is non-psychoactive and nonintoxicating you can decide to adjust your oral or topical dosing as needed. This is not an issue because there are no prescribed CBD dosages for anxiety, sleep, nausea, aches and pains, or skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis. You take or use what you need or an amount that works. CBD Botanical Therapy wants to be your first-aid CBD company offering you potent CBD products at affordable prices helping treat these issues naturally, safely, and without side effects.

Hidradenitis Suppurativa – Here is the Solution

Hidradenitis-Suppurativa-Here-is-the-Solution-Featured
Hidradenitis-Suppurativa-Here-is-the-Solution-2

Above is a text my friend received from his 20-year-old daughter regarding how our product helped her hidradenitis suppurativa. She told him to share it with us after she used our Eczema Ease on her HS skin condition. Why are we sharing this? Please keep reading.

Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) is a chronic skin condition that causes small, painful lumps to form under the skin. The lumps can break open or tunnels can form under the skin. The skin lesions develop as a result of inflammation and infection of sweat glands. This condition features pea- to marble-sized lumps under the skin that can be painful and tend to enlarge and drain pus. The unappealing condition mostly affects areas where the skin rubs together such as the armpits, groin, and buttocks, but can also occur on shoulders, back, and breasts.  There is no cure.

Treatments include 1.) Antibiotics 2.) Acitretin, a retinoid you take by mouth. 3.) Hormonal medications 4.) Metformin, a diabetes drug that can reduce inflammation. 5.) Biologics to suppress the immune system.

She found relief using our topical product Eczema Ease. It works because it contains 12,000 mg of CBD in a 2-ounce bottle. It can be used as needed to help with pain, itching, inflammation, and skin healing with no side effects. Even her dermatologist couldn’t believe how her skin had improved and once told her she would have to suffer from HS forever. If you, family, or friends have similar skin issues and nothing has worked, time to try our CBD first aid
products.

Spotlight on CBD Tinctures – What They Can Do For You

Spotlight-on-CBD-Tinctures-What-They-Can-Do-For-You-Featured

Unless you’ve been asleep for the last few years, you’ve probably noticed the unstoppable popularity of CBD products throughout the nation and the world. But skeptics still exist as they always will. The skeptics ask, “Why is CBD so popular these days?” And in all honesty, it’s a legitimate question.

What could possibly account for the booming CBD industry and the adoration of a third of all Americans (roughly 100 million of us)? Of course, the simple answer is that CBD works. If it didn’t, it wouldn’t have made it very far or fostered the hyper-competitive market it is today.

But not all CBD products are created equally. At CBD Botanical Therapy, we take our CBD products seriously because we know how seriously they can help—with anxiety, sleeplessness, skin irritation, and chronic pain, just to name a few. Our in-house Chief Science Officer has three decades of experience as an organic chemist with some of the biggest names in the pharmaceutical industry, and our CBD tinctures are designed with the weight and sincerity of that scientific knowledge.

At CBD Botanical Therapy, our CBD tinctures (also  called oils, etc.) can work wonders with big and small daily ailments. Here’s a quick rundown of our top CBD tinctures and what each can do for you.

2,000 mg

Made with 100% organic hemp seed oil and containing 2,000 mg of lab-tested, CBD isolate and traces of additional cannabinoids, this introductory tincture is more than potent enough to aid with a number of daily frustrations. As such, the 2,000 mg tincture is perfect for those just getting started with CBD.

Like all of our tinctures at CBD Botanical Therapy, the 2,000 mg tincture is lab tested for safety, potency, and purity. Lab testing is rare in the CBD industry and generally not required, but by making sure our tinctures are of the highest quality, we can be certain they’ll deliver benefits such as:

  • Eases pain & inflammation
  • Reduces stress & anxiety
  • Reduces high blood pressure & hypertension
  • Promotes better, more restful sleep
  • While containing no  caffeines, hormones, cooking spices, or sugars

3,000 mg

Next up is our 3,000 mg tincture. As the more powerful older brother of our 2,000 mg tincture, this 3,000 mg version delivers many of the same benefits with even greater potency. If you’ve tried other CBD tinctures with concentrations at or near the 3,000 mg mark and discovered no noticeable effect, it may be time to try our tincture.

This 3,000 mg tincture is deliberately designed to combat even chronic ailments and can lead to greater comfort over greater periods of time by delivering the effects you need when you need them most. Our 3,000 mg tincture provides many of the same benefits as our 2,000 mg tincture, including:

  • Reduces acute & chronic inflammation
  • Reduces stress & anxiety
  • Improved memory
  • Improved mood
  • Better sleep
  • And no caffeines, hormones, cooking spices, or sugars

4,000 mg

As the potency of tinctures increases, so do many of the psychological and physiological benefits. Our 4,000 mg tincture is strong enough to achieve desirable mental, physical, and mood-boosting results that other tinctures struggle to match.

At 4,000 mg, this CBD tincture is potent enough to fight sleeplessness, chronic pain/inflammation, and much, much more, including:

  • Drastically improved mood
  • Reduced anxiety
  • Reduced depression
  • Reduced high blood pressure/hypertension
  • Improved sleep
  • And again, no caffeines, hormones, cooking spices, or sugars

5,000 mg

At the top of the top, our 5,000 mg tincture represents one of the most powerful, most affordable CBD options available on the market today. For chronic ailments especially, the 5,000 mg tincture delivers quick, long-lasting relief without the side effects and costs associated with similarly powerful pharmaceuticals.

A non-addictive and non-habit-forming alternative to powerful drugs, the 5,000 mg tincture can provide nearly all the benefits listed above, including:

  • Improved mood
  • Improved sleep
  • Reduced chronic pain/inflammation
  • Reduced anxiety
  • Reduced depression
  • Reduced high blood pressure/hypertension
  • Improved memory
  • Much more

120  Seconds Under Tongue

CBD tinctures and other products can provide quick, affordable, at-home relief for a number of acute or chronic physical and psychological conditions. But if used incorrectly, the benefits of CBD tinctures can be hard to spot.

For the best results, fill the dropper with your desired dosage and position it under the tongue. Inject and hold the CBD tincture under your tongue without swallowing for at least 2 minutes). This assures the CBD can do its work before entering the digestive system after being swallowed. Swallowing too quickly can dull or delay the benefits of your preferred tincture.

Not all relief comes from a pharmacy but that doesn’t mean alternative treatments lack scientific merit. Our in-house Chief Science Officer knows what over 100 million Americans know about CBD—that when used correctly and at the right dosage, it really works.

Find your tincture at CBD Botanical Therapy

At CBD Botanical Therapy, our line of CBD products are American-made in-house under the direct supervision of our Chief Science Officer. Beyond the benefits each tincture provides, different strengths have different benefits and not all tinctures may be right for you. To find your ideal dosage, start with the 2,000 mg tincture and work your way up. CBD Skincare for Summer – Relief from Itching, Drying, & Eczema

CBD-Skincare-for-Summer-Relief-from-Itching-Drying-&-Eczema

When CBD products first hit the US market, the general public met them with skepticism and accusations of pseudoscience. Now, though, it’s difficult to find a home in the United States without at least one bottle of a CBD tincture or topical treatment somewhere inside.

The benefits of CBD are mostly common knowledge these days. For helping with sleeplessness, anxiety, blood pressure, and inflammation, CBD products are renowned for their efficacy as alternatives to intense and expensive pharmaceuticals. But even now, despite the abundance of common knowledge, one helpful application of CBD is less known—its use as a skincare solution.

At CBD Botanical Therapy, our chief science officer understands more than most how CBD can be used to relieve itching, dryness, and eczema flare-ups. Our unique CBD skincare products capitalize on the numerous benefits of CBD as an incredible anti-inflammatory to provide users with genuine, science-backed relief, and all at a lower price than other CBD providers.

Here’s how CBD can help you take care of the skin you’re in.

For Fine Lines/Wrinkles

In the world of skincare, words like “retinol” and “hyaluronic acid” are used commonly. Already famous as key ingredients in dermal fillers and expensive creams, you can also find both ingredients along with CBD in our Ageless Beauty Fine Line Repair cream.

By combining two popular skincare compounds with CBD, this cream hydrates skin to promote a buoyant, soft texture, further reducing fine lines and wrinkles. CBD also works as an anti-inflammatory which reduces the production of sebum—a naturally-occurring skin oil.  Together with retinol and hyaluronic acid—which improve the health and hydration of skin—this CBD cream approaches skincare from three different directions to make a comprehensive difference.

For Eczema

Eczema causes frequent skin irritation and more rashes than we can keep up with. Skin conditions sink our confidence and often keep us too busy scratching to enjoy our daily lives. When potent and applied topically, CBD can banish the dry skin or flare-ups responsible for discomfort.

Each bottle of our Eczema Ease cream contains 12,000 mg of CBD—a practically unheard of amount within the industry. This potent mixture maximizes CBD’s use as an antipruritic, halting itching sensations in their tracks. Once the itching’s gone, our Daily Moisture Balance cream can give your skin the buoyancy it needs to fight back rashes while healing itself more effectively.

Eczema Ease also works on hidradenitis suppurativa (HS skin condition). HS is a chronic skin condition that causes small, painful lumps to form under the skin. These lumps can break open and form tunnels beneath the skin. This painful and uncomfortable condition mostly affects areas where the skin rubs together, such as the armpits, groin, and buttocks, but can also occur on shoulders, back, and breasts.  Sadly, there is no cure, but Eczema Ease can relieve many of the more painful symptoms.

For Pain Relief

Few skincare products are also advertised as having pain-relieving properties. When CBD is introduced, however, skincare products become something even better and a great deal more helpful. Our CBD Ache & Soreness RELIEF Cream can tackle numerous symptoms of arthritis, pain and inflammation.

With 3000 mg of CBD amidst a proprietary blend of analgesic and anti-inflammatory terpenes formulated to help reduce pain and inflammation, this cream  offers immediate relief from the pain and inflammation. Find relief and get back to an active lifestyle without overpaying for yet another weak CBD topical or miracle cream.

For Intense Itching

Skin irritation comes in all shapes, sizes, and severities. When the pain and itching from bug bites, poison ivy or rashes are at their worst, we may scratch to the point of drawing blood—an understandable, if unacceptable, reaction.

For intense itching, our Itch Away cream provides a whopping 6,000 mg of CBD per ounce. Itch Away can also be used to promote the healing of minor cuts, scrapes, and burns—many of which contribute to frequent and incessant sensations of dry or itchy skin.

More than Just Skin Care

CBD Botanical Therapy offers therapeutic and first aid CBD products designed to relieve, heal, and enrich your skin. No longer the object of national suspicion, potent yet affordable CBD products are rapidly gaining mainstream acceptance as superior versions of more expensive, and potentially harmful, alternatives.

The benefits of CBD are nearly too many to list. This summer, if your skin remains dry, itchy, painful, or slow to heal, consider taking a new step toward happiness and health with a CBD alternative from CBD Botanical Therapy.

CBD solutions for summer and beyond!

At CBD Botanical Therapy we specialize in products scientifically designed to heal. Our line of CBD products, all of which are American-made in-house under the direct supervision of our Chief Science Officer, provide faster, better, and more comprehensive relief by using more CBD than other brands. CBD and SEX – Does it Work?

CB-and-SEX-Featured

You see a lot of gimmicky CBD products nowadays. CBD that causes sleep. CBD that creates energy. CBD water and BD gummies.  And no product is more ridiculous from a science and physics standpoint than CBD as a sexual lubricant or sexual aid. CBD and or THC can create a sense of calm and relaxation when ingested.  Both of these pleasure states can add to the pleasure of intimacy.

But cannabinoids are extremely sticky.  Alcohol or acetone are needed to remove them off hands and to clean equipment and surfaces that come in contact with them. Get some CBD or THC on a lab coat or a pair of slacks and it’s on there for good. This is why it doesn’t make ANY sense that adding it to a sexual lubricant would improve your experience.”  While I’ve only read about sex in Playboy :O) I think you want things to be pretty slippery down there for both parties to enjoy it.  Adding a cannabinoid with the slipperiness of super glue mixed with coconut oil doesn’t make any sense.

Cannabinoids are sticky. They make other things sticky. Please do not be fooled into thinking topical cannabinoids will help with passion or reduce friction. They won’t. Applying them topically (anywhere) doesn’t offer the same relaxing, calming benefits of oral ingestion. And you’ll need to consistently ingest a good amount of CBD to notice stress reduction or the relaxing benefits. That’s why we don’t make CBD gummies, CBD water, CBD coffee, CBD gum, or any other gimmick CBD products. We make affordable 2000 mg, 3000 mg, 4000 mg and 5000 mg CBD tinctures. The key to CBD is potency and affordability regardless if it’s applied topically or ingested orally. And irrespective if you’re a man or woman, for the best absorption we suggest holding the CBD oil under your tongue not between your legs. Have a great day.

CBD Heals – Relief for what Ails You

CBD’s skyrocketing popularity isn’t without good reason. As a non-psychoactive component derived from hemp, CBD provides remarkable benefits without harmful side effects or altered states of mind. For many of us suffering from anxiety, insomnia, depression, chronic pain, or epilepsy, CBD serves as a vital alternative to intense and expensive pharmaceuticals. But CBD’s benefits don’t end there.

CBD is also taking off in applications as a topical ointment, providing immediate relief for certain skin conditions such as eczema, acne, and run-of-the-mill dry, itchy skin. With as much as we know about the benefits of CBD today, it’s likely that we’ve only begun to tap the compound’s potential as a holistic, therapeutic alternative.

So, what can CBD do for you? Well, it depends on what you need it for.

Anxiety/Depression

In perhaps its most popular usage, CBD can have rapid, drastic results when used for combatting anxiety. Research into CBD’s potency as an anti-anxiety therapeutic suggests that specific dosages can help balance levels of serotonin. Serotonin is a naturally-occurring neurotransmitter responsible for modulating mood and memory among other functions.

When your serotonin levels stray too far in one direction, you may suffer a similar imbalance to your mood or sense of calm. In this way, CBD can alleviate both anxiety and depression with appropriate dosage tinctures.

For anxiety, try: Premium 2,000mg CBD Tincture

For depression, try: Premium 4,000mg CBD Tincture

Acute & Chronic Inflammation

Bouts of acute inflammation can be nearly debilitating, and chronic inflammation can keep us in pain when we need mobility the most. For both acute and chronic inflammation, CBD can offer a path forward.

The science is ongoing, but researchers believe that CBD reduces inflammation by targeting certain receptors in the body responsible for pain, mood, and memory. If you suffer from acute or chronic inflammation as the result of an injury, infection, radiochemical course of therapy, or otherwise, CBD tinctures might provide you with some much-needed relief.

For acute Inflammation, try: Premium 3,000mg CBD Tincture

For chronic inflammation, try: Premium 5,000mg CBD Tincture

High Blood Pressure/Hypertension

Nearly half of all US adults exhibit signs of high blood pressure and hypertension. For many, this issue can contribute to harmful and, in some cases, potentially fatal damage to the cardiovascular system.

CBD can give you an extra layer of protective calm when combined with blood pressure and hypertension medication. CBD also boasts the same mood-leveling effects that make it ideal for treating anxiety and depression—two factors that can exacerbate hypertension.

For high blood pressure/hypertension, try: All dosages of Premium CBD Tinctures

Skin Ailments

Eczema, psoriasis, acne, and other conditions that contribute to frequent skin irritation and rashes can keep us feeling self-conscious about our skin or too busy scratching to enjoy our daily lives. While plenty of ointments, lotions, and oral medications exist to treat these conditions, few offer the immediate relief we need.

CBD, when potent and applied as a cream or oil on the irritated site, can banish the dry skin or flare ups responsible for our discomfort. Relief from pain, swelling, and itching comes swifty with potent CBD topicals along with all the other benefits that the compound provides.

For eczema, try: CBD Eczema Ease Cream

For acne, try: CBD Ache & Soreness Relief Cream

For rashes, try: CBD Itch Away Cream

New Options, New You

CBD Botanical Therapy offers therapeutic CBD products that are suitable for treating numerous symptoms and ailments in people of all ages. The benefits of CBD are nearly too many to list. In addition to the above listed ailments, CBD has also been documented as an alternative treatment for nausea, chronic pain, drug withdrawal, epilepsy, glaucoma, insomnia, muscle spasms, and so many more.

As a bonus therapy on top of prescription drugs, or as an alternative to prescription drugs, CBD’s treatment applications continue to pile up. See how CBD can help you by browsing our line of therapeutic products today.

Here with what you need to heal.

The myths and rumors surrounding CBD have been replaced by research and discussions on the compound’s extensive therapeutic benefits. To learn what CBD can do for you, try one of our premium tinctures or topical creams today. You’ll find something to help you heal in our line of CBD products, all of which are American-made in-house under the direct supervision of our Chief Science Officer. CBD for Skin Irritations

CBD-for-Skin-Irritations

Think about all the skin irritations you deal with every week but don’t put anything on them: Razor burns, sunburn, itchy skin, rashes, eczema, acne, bug bites, psoriasis, that scaley spot on your arm, that itchy spot on your leg.

People don’t realize how incredible CBD is at reducing inflammation topically. The next time you buy a tincture remembers it can be applied topically in addition to being taken internally. And the more potent the tincture or topical CBD product, the faster it will work. My sister puts our Eczema Ease on her cystic acne when she begins to see a breakout occurring and it either quickly draws the blemish to the surface or prevents it from occurring. She wishes she had this when she was a
young adult and before she was prescribed three rounds of Accutane.

Migraine Sufferers Frequently Report Trying CBD Products

Migraine-Sufferers-Frequently-Report-Trying-CBD-Products

New Haven, CT: Nearly half of the patients with migraine headaches have tried cannabinoid products, typically CBD, according to survey data published in the journal BMC Complementary Medicine and Therapies.

Researchers from Yale University’s School of Medicine and the Stanford University School of
Medicine analyzed survey data provided by 377 respondents recruited from the Move Against
Migraine Facebook group. Investigators included a pair of questions in the survey inquiring about
patients’ use of “cannabidiol oil or other cannabis derivatives to prevent migraine.” Forty-nine percent of respondents reported having experimented with either CBD or other cannabinoid products for anti-migraine purposes. Just under 60 percent of them said that cannabinoid products provided some degree of effectiveness at preventing migraines, with 11 percent of
respondents rating cannabinoid products as either “very” or “extremely” effective.

Several prior studies have assessed the impact of inhaled cannabis on migraine frequency and
severity. Israeli data published last year reported that cannabis inhalation was associated with a
greater than 50 percent reduction in monthly migraine attacks in the majority of patients who tried it.

A separate study of 699 migraine patients, also published last year, reported that 94 percent of
subjects experienced symptom relief within two hours of marijuana inhalation. If an inhalable CBD product was not available potent tinctures were an effective substitute.

Suffering from Eczema? CBD is the safer, better option.

Atopic dermatitis (eczema) is a condition that makes your skin red and itchy. It’s common in children but can occur at any age. Atopic dermatitis is long-lasting (chronic) and tends to flare periodically. It may be accompanied by asthma or hay fever. No cure has been found for atopic dermatitis but treatments and self-care measures can relieve itching and prevent new outbreaks. For example, it helps to avoid harsh soaps, moisturize your skin regularly, and apply medicated creams or ointments.

Atopic dermatitis most often begins before age 5 and can persist into adolescence and adulthood. For some people, it flares periodically and then clears up for a time even for several years. Healthy skin helps retain moisture and protects you from bacteria, irritants, and allergens. Eczema is related to a gene variation that affects the skin’s ability to provide this protection. This allows your skin to be affected by environmental factors, irritants, and allergens.

Medications and Treatments

  • Injectables. The FDA has recently approved a new, injectable biologic (monoclonal antibody) called dupilumab (Dupixent). It is used to treat people with severe disease who do not respond well to other treatment options. This is a newer medication so it doesn’t have a long track record in terms of how well it helps people. Studies have shown it to be safe if used as directed. It is very expensive.
  • Oral drugs to control inflammation. For more severe cases your doctor may prescribe oral corticosteroids such as prednisone. These drugs are effective but can’t be used long term because of potentially serious side effects such as heartburn, nausea, vomiting, acne, weight gain, fluid retention, and high blood pressure.
  • Creams to control itching and help repair the skin. Your doctor may prescribe a corticosteroid cream or ointment. Apply it as directed after you moisturize. Overuse of this drug may cause side effects including thinning skin. Other creams containing drugs called calcineurin inhibitors such as tacrolimus (Protopic) and pimecrolimus (Elidel) affect your immune system. They’re used by people older than age 2 to help control the skin reaction. These drugs have a black box warning about a potential risk of cancer but the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology has concluded the risk-to-benefit ratios of topical pimecrolimus and tacrolimus are similar to those of most other conventional treatments of persistent eczema and that the data doesn’t support the use of the black box warning.
  • Drugs to fight infection. Your doctor may prescribe an antibiotic cream if your skin has a bacterial infection, an open sore, or cracks. He or she may recommend taking oral antibiotics for a short time to treat an infection.

Why deal with these potential short and long-term side effects while still suffering? Our suggestion, try a potent CBD topical designed specifically for eczema. No injections. No steroids. No antibiotics. No immune suppression. No side effects. Apply as often as needed.  Stops itching immediately and helps to heal. If you know somebody dealing with eczema please pass along this information.

Can Pets Benefit from CBD?

Does your dog or cat have separation anxiety? Do they get car sick? Are they scared during thunderstorms or the 4th of July? Will CBD help them?

Yes! CBD works for vertebrates which are people or animals that have a spinal column. This includes fish although I doubt they get carsick or seasick. They all have endocannabinoids systems so they all receive the anti-inflammatory, pain relief, nausea prevention, stress-reducing, and neurological benefits of CBD.

Just like with people, CBD will help reduce your pet’s pain from inflammation and arthritis. It will help with their nausea when riding in a car. And it will help with emotional issues like separation anxiety and thunderstorms because it also helps their bodies release serotonin allowing them to relax and feel better. It can also be used topically on hot spots, allergies, or wounds.

Question 1 – Can I give my pet human CBD?
Yes. There is no such thing as animal CBD. It’s just CBD.

Question 2 – What should the actual dose be?
Typically 25-75 mg daily is a good start since doses will vary based on size, issues, metabolism, etc. Saturate a treat that will absorb CBD tincture oil and that they will eat unless you can get them to hold it under their tongue! Will a CBD gummy work? Yes, BUT they typically don’t contain enough CBD for people or animals.

Question 3 – I see pet CBD tinctures that are 100-200 mg CBD/ounce for cats and 300-400mg CBD/ounce for dogs. Is this enough? Not especially if your pet is dealing with real pain, inflammation, or anxiety. Most CBD product manufacturers don’t offer much CBD in their products yet still charge a high price.

Question 4 – My dog or cat is small. Should I give them less CBD? Not always. Here’s why. The amount of time for CBD blood levels to drop by ½ is 2 hours for a cat and 4 hours for a dog. This is called medicine’s half-life. This means if you give your dog CBD at 7:00 am by 11:00 am
there’s half the amount in their bloodstream. And by 3:00 pm that concentration is cut in half again to ¼ and then by 7:00 pm that concentration is again cut in half to 1/8 the original dose.

You can quickly see that if we’re trying to treat an animal (or person) for pain, inflammation, anxiety, or neurological issues we need a potent product or we have to give them a weaker product more often which can be costly and inconvenient. The half-life of CBD in people is 18-
30 hours and the benefits can even last an extra day or two if a dose is missed. But CBD is still much more effective when potent and when taken regularly.

Feel confident adjusting your pet’s doses and observing their behavior, movement, and demeanor. Also, remember you can rub or massage the CBD oil on the front of their ears where there is less hair. The CBD will be absorbed through their skin like a mucus membrane. GW Pharma, the company that makes Epidiolex for kids, sells a 10,000 mg CBD monthly tincture to children with epilepsy. It only costs about $2700 a month! CBD has an incredible safety record. If your pet is suffering give them a chance to feel better and be happier.

Motion Sickness and CBD

Motion-Sickness-and-CBD-Featured

Do you ever get car sick? Do you ever have seasickness on a cruise? How about getting nauseous during a bumpy flight? Me too. It’s one of the worst feelings in the world. It’s awful and you pray it ends soon. Emesis is the action or process of vomiting. YUCK! And an antiemetic is a drug or product effective against vomiting and nausea. CBD is an antiemetic. It helps stop nausea and vomiting. CBD may help with nausea because of its interaction with serotonin receptors.  The non-intoxicating cannabinoid CBD interacts with serotonin releasing receptors and when given in relatively small, consistent doses has been shown to help alleviate both nausea and vomiting. CBD can also be effective in easing anxiety which can help patients manage the angst of chronic nausea. CBD taken with THC seems to work better but some people can’t take THC because of their jobs or state regulations. And if you take too much THC you can get a bit intoxicated. Therefore, you need a product that contains sufficient CBD.

Now like most things in life it’s easier to prevent nausea from starting than control it once it’s started. Like a car rolling downhill. A simple brick will prevent it from moving but once it starts downhill it’s difficult to stop. Besides science, how do I know it prevents nausea and motion sickness? I’m the guy who can’t look down while riding in a car to check directions or I’m immediately nauseous. One day I’m riding in the back seat of a car and was working on my phone. Fifteen minutes late I realized I wasn’t throwing up. It was my daily doses of CBD that was preventing it. You can bet I’ll be taking it before and during any flights, cruises, or long
backseat rides. CBD will offer the same benefits for your pets as well and you don’t need a special pet tincture. Any of our tinctures will work perfectly well. For the best results, you or your pet should take it a few days before traveling.

Marijuana Edibles: THC Gummies & THC Chocolates

Marijuana-Edibles-THC-Gummies-&-THC-Chocolates-Featured

There’s a saying when taking THC, start low and go slow. This is especially true when eating products that contain THC. Some people who’ve eaten THC eat too much and have had a bad experience. This is because while THC is very good at reducing pain and inflammation, THC is also intoxicating. Use too much and the feeling of euphoria fades as the mind become very active. This is because THC is very stimulating to the brain. You can’t overdose or die from too much THC since it doesn’t affect the areas of the brain that control your heart rate or breathing. Therefore, you’re in no danger but it can make your mind race and this is when people imagine all sorts of horrible things happening to them.

Usually when people are eating THC is when they get into trouble. This is because when you eat foods containing THC, the THC is digested, passed through the liver, and is converted to a more powerful intoxicant or a psychoactive chemical called 11-hydroxy-THC. This is what causes people to get “stoned” after eating an edible. This is because when THC is eaten it takes 20-30 minutes for it to begin working and requires 90 minutes for the full effects. And this is where people get into trouble. They take a gummy or a bite of a brownie, wait 15 minutes, think it’s not working, and eat another gummy or brownie bite, and now they’ve eaten too much as the THC and 11-hydroxy-THC begin to work. About 2 mg of THC is the limit where psychoactivity begins for a new user when eaten. If you take it 20 minutes before you eat you’ll probably experience effects in about 60 minutes. If you take 2 mg after a meal you might notice the pain-relieving properties without the euphoria. Therefore, start low and go slow applies to THC especially when eating it.
